It’s fast and efficient on all kinds of floors, rarely gets stuck and comes with a large bin that only needs to emptied once every 45 days. It comes with a feature that lets you can set limits for it, so it doesn’t spill out or into rooms you do not wish to.

The AI Robot has two downsides: it is less reliable than my top robot vacuum (the Roborock Q5 which is a shrewdly reliable model+), and it performs a little less well on high-pile rugs. It is also a bit louder and has trouble collecting debris between wood planks or tiles. It still has many of the features I’m looking for in a robot vacuum, for instance, the capacity to empty itself and is less expensive than the iRobot Roomba 981.

This intelligent bot does an excellent job cleaning most surfaces however it’s weak on high-pile carpet. It’s great on plain flooring and its sensor system enables it to easily walk over electrical cords and rug tassels without getting stuck. It is also one of only a few robots with self-emptying Docks that reduces the amount of maintenance and recurring costs.

The AI Robot, like the EZ Robot Self Empty and Matrix Robot is compatible with Alexa or Google Home devices so you can control with voice commands. It is compatible with iCloud which means you can sync with your iPhone or iPad, and use the SharkClean App to control it anywhere.

The app is loaded with lots of features, but at times, the interface can be a bit clunky. You can schedule your time boundaries, create virtual ones and monitor the robot’s health and charge status, schedule reminders for cleaning sessions to come and much more. You can also connect your smartphone to the robot so that you can operate it from any area of your house and control its smart functions through the Wi-Fi connection on your smartphone or tablet.
